Emma grew up with a love of books, a passion instilled by her mum. Anything from thrillers and true crime, to women’s fiction and history, she’d read it. But her heart lay with romance and the happy ever after dream.
It was only when she moved to Canterbury she realised that writing it was even better. The opportunity to craft her own love stories too good a chance to resist.
Fast forward four years and she writes US-based seasonal contemporary romances and NZ-based crime fiction.
Today, she is heavily involved in the Christchurch writing community as chair for the local chapter of Romance Writers of New Zealand, NaNoWriMo coordinator, founder of North Canterbury Writers and joint contributor the new Christchurch Writers online hub.
When she’s not writing, she enjoys spending time with her soulmate Jim, their boys (who are growing way too fast – either that or she’s shrinking!), watching rugby (and the best procrastination tool there is, Netflix), cooking and reading.
